Access to the museum is via guided group tours (maximum 15 people). Prior reservations are necessary. Please call 91 429 9216 or send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for your reservation. Entrance to the museum and all its activities is free.
Tours begin every hour and last 35 minutes. The last tour is at 5:00 pm. Tours can be conducted in English, Italian and French as well as Spanish.
Due to the architecture of this 17th century house, wheelchair access to the upper floors is not possible, and access may be very difficult for those with reduced mobility.

WHO WE ARE
The Lope de Vega House Museum is a museum managed by the Regional Government of Madrid and owned by the Real Academia Española (Royal Spanish Academy). Since its re-opening at the beginning of 2009, the institution has begun a period of activity oriented toward showing the historic richness of Spanish literature, starting with the figure of the 'The Phoenix of Wits', and valuing his connection with other authors. This is an important period in Spain's intellectual past, with many different literary and artistic manifestations.

OBJECTIVES:
- Make the public aware of Lope de Vega's life and extensive body of work, especially his poetry and plays.
- Facilitate knowledge about the society, religion, customs, history, literature and art of the Golden Age, through Lope de Vega and other artists and literary peers.
- Show the urban planning, the architecture and the aspects of daily life of the times through the House Museum, located in the center of baroque Madrid.
- Promote respect for Cultural Heritage and Museums
