The house museum

Lope de Vega, the "Phoenix of Wits", lived in this house for a quarter of a century. Within its walls he wrote some of his most acclaimed works, and here he saw his great love, Marta de Nevares, die. Friends and admirers have passed through it. Converted today into a house museum, the building, in addition to serving as a reminder of the important figure of the playwright and poet, is an example of the style of life during the famous Golden Age of Spain.
