Madrid of Lope. Introduction
Lope de Vega lived at the district now known as the Barrio de las Letras or Literary Quarter. His neighbours were among the great literary figures of the Spanish Golden Age, such as Miguel de Cervantes, Francisco de Quevedo or Luis de Gongora.
This quarter still keeps the spirit of that moment. Currently the streets, buildings, booksellers and, actually, this house museum, have help to maintain the magnificence of that age.
