Sons' room

alcobahijos

This is the largest and best lit room in the attic area. It was for Lope's sons, or, in their absence, Marcela, before she joined the Trinitarians. The two sons who lived in the house were the beloved Carlitos and Lope Félix, the son of Micaela de Luján, who the author brought to live in his house, along with the boy's mother. Today there is a bed and a cradle (with a strap, a 'child protector'), next to a chair, a nightstand and a chest, three chairs, a stool and a desk.
